About Us

What We Do and How We Do It

Funds contributed to the Foundation are held in perpetuity, using only the interest and earnings from the funds to support outreach opportunities. There are two types of “funds” within the Foundation: (1) General Endowment Fund (2) Special Endowment Funds. Interest and earnings from the General Fund are used at the discretion of the Asbury Foundation Trustees. Interest and earnings from the Special Endowment Funds are put back into designated church ministries such as Children, Youth, Music, Missions, and the Bill Mason Scholarship Fund to support pastoral candidates attending Asbury Theological Seminary.

Why We Do It

When placing membership at Asbury, we vow to uphold Asbury through our prayers, our presence, our gifts, our service and our witness. The only way we can continue to do this once we have gone to be with the Lord is through a gift to the Foundation - as it will continue to support the ministries of Asbury forever. Supporting the Asbury Foundation fulfills the promise of giving while allowing the giver to be specific about the use of their donation if they so choose, or simply by growing God’s Kingdom through the ministries of Asbury. Charitable gifts to the Asbury Foundation make a difference to those who receive them which makes a difference in the Kingdom of God, not just for the present, but for years to come.
